Here at Brown & Brown of Washington in Seattle, we do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” plan when it comes to insurance coverage. We recognize that all of our clients – and all of their situations – are unique, and we pride ourselves on making sure that we continually keep ourselves up-to-date on the ever-evolving rules, regulations, and definitions of insurance coverage so that we may offer the best advice no matter what the situation. We strive for excellence every day and in every aspect of our service commitment to you.

In our commitment to providing you with the best possible service, we provide the following standard services:

For every client we work with, we perform an in-depth insurance coverage review, to determine the specialized coverage that will most efficiently cover your business operations. By asking the right questions, we can come up with unique coverage solutions that ensure that unpredictable events won’t get in the way of your continued success.

Insurance programs can vary significantly for different types of business operations. Brown & Brown in Seattle successfully built a number of relationships in niche areas, such as Tribal Entities, Maritime Clients, Long Term Care Facilities, Marine and General Contractors and large Construction companies. Over time, working with large groups of niche clients has developed a strong in-house knowledge base. Our production and service staff have earned accreditations ranging from being Certified Public Accountants to Accredited Risk Managers or Chartered Property & Casualty Producers.

When we are working with you as a client, we are anticipating the best insurance program not only for the short term, but for 5 and 10 and 50 years down the road. One large contractor client has been insured through our team for over 70 years; many of our clients have learned to trust our judgment and have stayed with us as their businesses have grown.

Insurance Advisors review the blueprint of one of their contractor customers to determine what exactly is needed in terms of insurance coverage.

Especially for our contractor clients, you need to build a relationship with a broker not only on the property and casualty side, but also with respect to surety (bonding). You need to know that your broker is able to advocate for you to establish relationships with your surety so that you can receive urgent service with respect to bonding. As an employer in Washington State, you need to be able to lean on that same agent to provide employee benefits services, provided by an experienced and efficient leader in the industry.

In addition to offering superior service and marketing opts, we pay close attention to Washington’s insurance regulations and also monitor national trends. Internally, we have licensure and access to all states where our clients are operating, and Surplus Lines licenses in Washington, Alaska and California.
